Mapping of selected LOV ontologies to UMBEL

This page presents mapping of selected LOV ontologies to UMBEL. These mappings have been created as an output of the bachelor thesis at University of Economics, Prague, Department of Information and Knowledge Engineering.

Introduction

The goal of this work was to provide the mappings of UMBEL to LOV ontologies.

Selected ontologies

LOV ontologies have been selected based on their usage among LOV ontologies and LOD datasets, less importantly on their topic.

DOAP (Description of a Project)

DOAP(Description of a Project) is a vocabulary for project description. It is used in 23 datasets and has 18 incoming links. Six vocabularies are used in this vocabulary.

Statistics of mappings: Mappings for 2 DOAP classes and 8 external classes used in DOAP (which are not mapped to UMBEL yet) were created.

Listing of mappings:

TIME (Time Ontology)

TIME(Time Ontology) defines temporal entities. It is used in 47 datasets and has 30 incoming links.

Statistics of mappings: Mappings for 22 TIME classes were created.

Listing of mappings:

TRANSIT (Transit)

TRANSIT(Transit) is a vocabulary for describing transit systems and routes. It is used in 5 datasets and has 1 incoming link.

Statistics of mappings: Mappings for 4 TRANSIT classes and 3 external classes used in TRANSIT (which are not mapped to UMBEL yet) were created.

Listing of mappings:

OO (Open Organisations)

OO(Open Organisations) is a vocabulary providing supplementary terms for organisations which wish to publish open data about themselves. It is used in 19 datasets and has 1 incoming link.

Statistics of mappings: Mappings for 4 OO classes and 4 external classes used in OO (which are not mapped to UMBEL yet) were created.

Listing of mappings:

ORG (Core Organization Ontology)

ORG (Core Organization Ontology) is a vocabulary for describing organizational structures for a broad variety of types of organization. It is used in 7 datasets and has 23 incoming links. Five vocabularies are used in this vocabulary.

Statistics of mappings: Mappings for 4 ORG classes and 3 external classes used in ORG (which are not mapped to UMBEL yet) were created.
